kuwait , my great country ( at least in my eye ) it has its up and downs , but its still my country

Resturant review ( Caesar )

Went to Caesar restaurant in Hawali

I went for lunch; the Restaurant was quit since the location is kind of obscure (next to jareer bookstore at Tunis street)

The table and chairs were fine; the lights were bright (which is good, since the sun was shining outside and didn’t need more brought lights)

The staff were Indian and friendly I got the menu, one of the thing which I think is strange about Caesar restaurant is that they don’t have a cultural identity, normally you would find a restaurant which is Indian, or another which is Chinese, but not thing one
They have Iranian, Indian, Chinese cosines all in one menu

Any way to start I ordered Dal Soup and yogurt cucumber

Dal soup

Then I followed up with a kebab kobediah

Kabab

The Dal soup was nice
The Kobediah wasn’t that great, the rice was good, but the meat was a lot soft and thin

The bill Was around 5 KD

My Advise:
The restaurant isn’t bad, the location isn’t, at Dinner the Parking would be mostly full, the restaurant is a bit fancy, so I think its good for lunch if you are alone or just want to invite one friend

Kuwait Soccer game today

I hope they lose

kuwait football association

And before you ask why , i’ll tell you why

Because the people at the above pictured place ( kuwait football association ) are not going to move if they won the game , and realy what you expect of the current kuwait national team ? i’m realy realy sad that we have two players who just graduated from police academy and a player who graduated from the army
YET THEY CAN’T RUN ALL THE GAME , and thats not all , i watched the first game kuwait played with South Korea , my god , that was the worst game i ever saw , no one knew how to pass a ball
South Korean players would cut the ball and the kuwaiti players would watch them and do nothing

Now some of you ( if any read this ) may wonder , if the players are bad , why everyone blaming the kuwait football association ? , for me ( since i don’t speak for everyone ) , the problem is we had good players
for example in sydney 2000 olympics we had great young players , and they played some great games , even when they lost would be proud of them , because they played a great game

Where is that team ? thanks to kuwait football association , that team has gone , disapeared , no more
and now we are left with the worst kuwait team to ever play .

the small stuff

Some may consider it a small thing , but it bug me the same

Ladies and Gents? Why do they use gents, what’s the problem with men?
All gents are men, but not all men are gents, a known fact, but the government employees a lot of people who you can’t consider gents (or ladies for that matter)

Kuwaiti in and out of Kuwait business

i was suring around the net and found Q8 Site and under ” our Businesses ” they had this

Retail Service Stations

KPI’s network of more than 4,000 Q8 branded service stations extends across seven European countries – Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and Luxemburg.

Customers today expect a service station to provide more than fuel and the driving force behind all KPI’s products is the objective to meet customer needs better.

KPI is at the forefront of developing forecourt retailing by expanding the range of goods and services offered – serving the needs of the local communities and motorists. In some markets this is through establishing partnerships with other companies – in the Benelux an alliance with supermarket chain Delhaize provides a complete “mini-supermarket” service. Opportunities to link up with other companies to provide, for example, dry-cleaning and fast food facilities, are actively sought where they bring a clear customer benefit.

Car washing is an important facility for the motorist. KPI has one of the most advanced carwash operations in Europe and, in Denmark, is the market leader in this sector.
In most markets KPI has developed unique card payment technologies tailored to the needs of customers in each region.

KPI’s clear objective is to extend its innovative approach to retailing across the retail network

Good, you have an innovative approach, then why the hell isn’t it used on Kuwait? Most of you have seen how pathetic most of our fuel station looks like.

I went to the UAE, they have Great looking petrol station there, and you know what? WE DID IT FIRST OUTSIDE KUWAIT, but why didn’t we do it in Kuwait?

One of the things that is holding us in Kuwait is the “poor people ” mentality
What’s “poor people ” mentality you ask?

Its when you want to crack down on people who didn’t pay electricity bill , you will get leave the ” poor people ” , well , I’m sure as hell if we made everyone pay his god dam bill in 1991 its wouldn’t be in the thousands like now

Or when you try to enforce any law, for example when they wanted to remove shops from one of the residential area people started having ads in newspaper, and going we are “poor people “who run these shops

Not that Agree with the law that doesn’t let people open shops in residential unless it’s in a “jameyah “co-op (hell the law most was written from the “poor people who run the jameyah and wouldn’t get profit unless they have a lockdown on everything)
