few random tidbits from here and there ( in my mind )

* was checking around MOI site , thats one nice site , now they even take pictures of impounded car that are going to be sold off in an auction and posting on the site , one great idea , big thump up on the site

* Went to the Kuwait Car show , took a lot of pictures ( around 100 ) went with couple of friends , and one of them ( who i lent a camera ) came later to me and was saying that the Camera is out of charge , then i found out he had done over 300 pictures ..
those will be soon up on flicker with couple comment about booth babes 😛

* speaking of booth babes ,what good are they in a car show if they are going to pretend to be able to answer question then calling on an Indian guy to answer it ? just walk around and don’t act smart

* Commitments , too much of them lately it seem , couple online and couple offline i should re-evaluate them

* Power point presentation : its funny how some presentation i make ( which took a combined time of 30-40 minute ) get high grades and praise , I’m not sure why either , maybe because they look genuine effort ?

* why when i’m asked for IT help i don’t get normal problems ?
Internet not working ? most normal IT people will just hook the cable or check IP address but me no
its had to be the VOIP thingy and someone switched the AC downgrader from the handset to the main Adapter

* Been following the Book about Mubarak AlKabeer on Alari newspaper , well thats 10 KD saved ( that was the price at the kuwait book fair ) because it seem like Biased Rubbish , just a small sample

Whats up with that ?

i bought a DVD as a present for someone and had it shipped with DHL , now DHL is more expensive than other carriers but that was okay i was in a bit of hurry for that present
they gave me an Estimated Arrival as October 12, 2007
so i check Amazon Tracking and its says
October 11, 2007 XX:XX:00 AM KUWAIT KUWAIT Arrival Scan

funny thing ,, today DHL came to deliver it ( October 16 , 5 days after it got to Kuwait and 4 days late from estimate ) , not only late but they demanded 5 KD extra , for what ? they claim Bayan Fee and when i asked for a paper for that Bayan fee , at first they claim its the custom , and when i check the custom paper it says ? ” معفى من الرسوم ” aka Exempt , so i demand to know what is that extra 5 KD , he call someone on his mobile who claim its an extra tariff’s i tell them I’m not paying anything extra for the hell of it , its not on an official paper , its just DHL invoice that say 5kd Bayan Fee ,, i could print one at my house and say ;
20 KD Bayan Fee
40 KD Shamiya Fee
30 KD Jarah Fee

I already paid for the shipping , i’m not paying extra to get it to me ! what kind of concept these paper run on ? charge and if you can charge more ?

I can’t sleep

I was in bed since 2am but i can’t sleep
First at 2:45 its a SMS and my mobile go beep
Then its like flood of them and I’m wondering who is that freak
Who send all this at this time ? its a big heap
Not only that but they are blank ! i wanted to weep
Back to bed and nothing helping even counting sheep
Then thought of posts what to leave and what to keep
And when the ideas finally started to seep
Its time to prayers and to the bathroom i leap
Change of cloth and go start the jeep

Unfinished business , Robert jordan Dead

when i attended comic con back in 2005 one of the panels i attended a panel which had Robert Jordan as a speaker

well today i read the news that Robert Jordan has died
its sad in two ways , one he is a famous Fantasy writer best know for writing Wheel of time
Second , he died without finishing his series

Which is someone thing everyone of us should always think of , what if i didn’t finish what i wanted to do in my life
one of the things that i keep thinking off ( and not doing anything that i want to do ,, oh how i waste time )

I just found out that a friend changed his phone number and didn’t sms me or call with new phone number ?
so is it

A) He doesn’t want to talk to me anymore

B) I’m of less importance to him and I’m low on list of people to tell about new number

C) He is just absent minded
