one great book i read around 7 month ago , the book talk about the story of ID software John Carmack and John Romero the two people behind the great game doom

Masters of Doom: How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture

anyway , the book is going to be truned into a showtime movie !

The film industry trade publication Variety announced today that Showtime plans to make a bio-pic movie based on Masters of Doom, the 2003 released non-fiction book on the formation of Doom developer id Software.
The executive producer and scriptwriter for the movie is Naren Shankar, who currently is an executive producer on CBS’s crime show CSI and has written scripts for shows like The Outer Limits and Farscape. Shankar stated in the Variety story that he first learned about about the David Kushner authored book by reading a review in an engineering journal. The book chronicled the formation of id Software and in particular focused on the developer’s two driving forces, its master programmer John Carmack and designer John Romero. There is no word yet on when Showtime plans to start production on the movie.

which is cool for geeks like me ! you don’t get much geek movies , last good one i have seen was Pirates of Silicon Valley

New radio station

if you didn’t hear about it , there is a new radio station in kuwait
radio marina , they brodcast from marina mall , and they are on 88.88 FM .

they are the first privite radio station , they play both arabic and english songs ( a la Radio Sawa )
its fine , better that the mix station FM 99.7 😛

today was the kuwaiti bloggers meeting , tatabotata chose souk Sharq starbucks , it was crowded , i think it sucks much

and he didn’t come ! we couldn’t tell him how much the place sucked.

not much pictures this time also , i was soo taken by coversation i forgot to take pictures , not to mention that my laptop WiFi card ( which i changed after the last one stoped working ) was missing its drivers and i didn’t install them before

about the digital future of hollywood

it seem that the digital revolution did not stop , after the blogs and online donation effect in the 2004 election

Its now charging TV

Al gore and other investor have started Current TV which according to yahoo news What seprate this channel and others is that

Central to their strategy is inviting Current’s viewers to supply their own video content and helping them produce it using editing tools that Current will make available on its Web site.

That video eventually will comprise more than half the programming seen on the channel.

So its going to have more home movies in it that regular TV , and some of these just rock , as seen on some internet sites like ifilm

if you can’t adopt , you don’t live long , and thats why companies like sega nearly closed
